Riverside by Aahma – Jim Corbett makes the dining experience a unique one from its unusual restaurant built on the picturesque bank of the river Kosi.

Sumptuous buffets can be savoured inside the spacious, sunlit restaurant or at the outdoor picnic tables on the restaurant’s wide and open balcony. Every breakfast, lunch, and dinner spread is a banquet of hot and cold beverages, barbequed meats, fish, lentils and fresh vegetables garnished and served with greens and vegetables handpicked from our own organic kitchen garden. Making your meal times special are the sounds of the river streaming past you or the sights of majestic eagles and little egrets gliding by. In the evenings enjoy your tea with the river breeze in your hair, and a romantic dinner warmed by the roaring bonfires. Indoors, seated at the rugged handmade wooden tables you always get a clear view of the cliffs and the river waters from the life size glass windows overlooking the river.

Take your cup of chai down the restaurant to dip your feet in the Kosi waters, stroll along the kitchen garden rich with the fragrances of dhania or enjoy a glass of orange juice swaying on the river edge swings. The air of the Shivaliks, wholesome veggies and homely cooking aromas always work up a great appetite.

If you are craving khichdi or gajar ka halwa, if you are lactose or gluten intolerant, if you are on a low-fat diet , then send a word to the chef and he does his best to serve your request at the next meal.

Out for a day of safari and sight-seeing? Then ask the chef (a day before) to pack you a picnic hamper. The hamper will have vegetarian sandwiches (non-veg food smells are attractive to animals) / parathas/ whole fruit/ and tetra pack juices – easy to carry and eat on the go.

You are, after all, in the home of the majestic royal Bengal tiger so pay your respects. If you are lucky, maybe, you’d get receive a memorable sighting. There are lots of activities to occupy kids and adults alike within the resort and outside.
